WORK HISTORY
Manager of Grants and Financial Analyst, Tennessee Department of Education (August 2023 - Present)
Served as project director for the Tennessee’s Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS), coordinating with the federal monitoring committee to ensure fulfillment of grant deliverables.
Prepared federally required grant documents such as budget reports and annual performance reports.
Served as technical product owner for data mart and dashboard development work, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
Used statistical software such as SQL and R to clean data, aggregate and analyze data, and perform data quality checks for federally required research reports such as Report Card and InformTN, and ad hoc data requests.
Created wireframes and research dashboards using SAS Viya. Coordinated extensive internal review and revisions of work to ensure reports were in best and final form.
Assistant Professor, King University (August 2021 - July 2023)
Taught economics, statistics, and management science courses to MBA students, covering a diverse set of statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, regression analysis, forecasting, and linear programming.
Maintained an active research agenda, working on individual and collaborative research papers, employing a variety of different statistical and experimental techniques.

Conducted election research using a variety of experimental and statistical models including limited dependent variable models, regression discontinuity, and nonparametric statistics.
Developed proficiency collecting and working with cross-sectional, panel, and time series data using a variety of different statistical software including R, Stata, and Python.
Gained valuable experience collaborating with scholars in a research program in political economy and public policy as a graduate research fellow.
