This Privacy Policy describes how "EMI Calculator" ("we", "our", "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
EMI Calculator is designed to work primarily offline. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
Data Stored Locally on Your Device:
The app allows you to save certain information for your convenience, including:
- Loan profiles (loan amounts, EMI details, payment records you enter)
- Calculation history (EMI, FD, RD, SIP, PPF, and other calculator results)
- App preferences (such as theme settings)
This data is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data on any external server. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, this data will be permanently deleted.
2. CURRENCY CONVERTER FEATURE
The Currency Converter feature within the app connects to a third-party exchange rate service over the internet to fetch live currency conversion rates. This connection only retrieves publicly available exchange rate data and does not send any personal information about you. If no internet connection is available, the app will display the last cached exchange rates.
3. ADVERTISING
Our app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. To provide relevant ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and use certain information, which may include:
- Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
- General device information (device type, operating system version)
- Approximate location (based on IP address)
- Ad interaction data (such as ads viewed or clicked)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy, which you can review at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization, on most Android devices).
4. PERMISSIONS
The app may request certain device permissions (such as internet access) solely to enable features like the live Currency Converter and to display advertisements. We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, storage, or other sensitive permissions beyond what is necessary for these features.
5. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. The only data shared is the advertising-related data described in Section 3, which is shared with Google AdMob for the purpose of displaying ads.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the issue.
7. DATA SECURITY
Since most of your data is stored locally on your own device and not on our servers, the security of that data depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and security settings up to date.
8. YOUR CHOICES
You can delete any locally stored data (loan profiles, calculation history) at any time using the "Clear History" or delete options available within the app. Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
