Your privacy is our priority
BudgetDesk is built on a simple principle: your financial data
belongs to you and only you. We do not collect, store, transmit,
or share any personal information or financial data.
All data stays on your device
Every piece of information you enter into BudgetDesk — your
spending, budgets, bills, goals, and settings — is stored
exclusively on your iPhone or iPad using on-device storage (Hive).
No data is ever sent to our servers, because we do not have any
servers.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is synced between
your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud service. This data is
managed entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
We never have access to your iCloud data. iCloud sync is optional
and off by default.
No data collection — ever
We do not collect:
Names, email addresses, or contact information
Financial data, bank account details, or transaction history
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or crash reports
Any personally identifiable information of any kind
Free trial & subscription
BudgetDesk includes a 7-day free trial with full access to every
feature. The trial begins automatically when you complete
onboarding — no credit card required up front. After 7 days, a
subscription is required to continue using the app.
Subscription options:
Monthly: $4.99 AUD
Yearly: $39.99 AUD (best value)
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24
hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or
cancel your subscription any time in Settings → [your name] →
Subscriptions on your Apple device. No refunds are provided for
partial subscription periods.
In-app purchases
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App
Store and StoreKit. We never see, handle, or store your payment
information. Apple manages all billing, receipts, and subscription
management. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on
how Apple handles payment data.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, BudgetDesk schedules local
notifications on your device for bill reminders and weekly resets.
These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your
device. No notification content is transmitted over the internet.
Security
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (Face ID,
Touch ID, passcode). We use only standard iOS encryption provided
by the operating system. We do not implement any custom encryption
algorithms.
Deleting your data
Because all your data is stored on your device, deleting it is
simple: press and hold the BudgetDesk icon on your home screen and
tap Remove App → Delete App. All locally stored data is permanently
removed the moment the app is uninstalled. If you also use iCloud
sync, you can remove the app's iCloud data via Settings → [your
name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → BudgetDesk.
In plain English: we don't collect anything. Your budget data never
leaves your phone unless you choose to use iCloud, which is between
you and Apple.
