Throughout the course I have been able to develop myself as a writer through the lessons that were given to me in the form of readings, chapters, quizzes, and also the feedback that I received from my instructor. All of these things showed me how I can improve my own writings to be able to converse with my peers in a professional way and create multiple presentations in different mediums and genres. I will continue to use this class as a foundation for my future classes that I might take to be able to succeed within them using the lessons that I learned from this one. One of my favorite parts of the class was being able to create the different projects and the creative freedom that we were given to be able to make these projects our own. This allowed us to be able to understand the concepts that were being taught to us by creating a familiar use of them and basically explaining it with information that is easier to understand. For myself I chose to make the most of my projects about things that I was very passionate about such baseball and the importance of tuition assistance. I was able to use the knowledge that I had gained throughout the semester to be able to use it in a way that made a connection between the topics and being able to communicate my passions in a formal way. In all of the projects I found that the conferences that were held between my professor and I were some of the most valuable due to the class being online. Reading from the chapters I would find myself coming across parts that I didn’t quite understand which sometimes were needed in order to complete the project. I would then ask my professor at these conferences where he would help me understand these concepts where I could then apply them to my project. Throughout the course I found that the feedback aspect of all of the assignments was very important to me because I was able to gain new insights into my project from my peers that I may not have thought of yet. This allowed me to create a better and more concise project to present on my portfolio and gain a better understanding of the concepts that were needed in the projects. I believe that the concepts that I have learned within the course will allow me to be able to write in a professional manner whether it be in a email to my professor, a proposal for a business or a paper for one of my next classes. For my own degree plan I was required to take this course which I then believe that I can use my knowledge that I gained to be able to succeed in my business classes where I am needed to create business proposals and communicate effectively to my peers. I enjoyed all of the projects and how they tied into what I was learning at the time and how they gave me ideas into how I can use my knowledge beyond this class.
