Predictable Chart Writing

Predictabe Chart Writing is an entry point to introduce writing for meaning with emerging writers.

There are NO prerequisites to being an emerging writer. Students don't have to show interest in print or the ability to engage in print. They do need to be provided daily access to the ability to engage in writing activities that match their strengths, mobility, and accessibility needs.

In this stage of writing, we're modeling and demonstrating the writing process and incorporating the use of AAC, pictures, and other implements of writing (technology, paper, markers, pencils, alternate pencils, etc).

Predictable Chart Writing is a 5-day a week routine that supports student interests and introduction to the writing process. You can learn more about the Predictable Chart Writing routine through Project Core's website or in Comprehensive Literacy for All. To watch a predictable chart writing lesson, click on this link.
