Emerge India is excited to host a Beginner Python Coding Bootcamp this July at the Naperville Public Library! Designed for students entering 4th to 8th grade, this bootcamp offers a friendly, hands-on introduction to programming using Python — one of the most popular and beginner-friendly coding languages. Led by high school students with experience in AP Computer Science, this program is perfect for young learners with little to no coding background.
Over the course of the bootcamp, students will learn the foundations of Python programming, including:
Variables, data types, and basic syntax
Loops and conditionals
Functions and simple algorithms
Fun mini-projects and coding challenges
We’ll use interactive teaching and real examples to keep sessions fun and engaging. By the end, students will have the confidence to continue coding on their own!
All sessions will be held at the 95th Street Naperville Public Library
Dates: July 15-18
Time: 4:00-5
Duration: Each session will last around 60 minutes
The schedule is designed to be flexible and beginner-focused — perfect for summer learning!
The bootcamp has a $25 registration fee per student.
All proceeds go directly toward Emerge India’s mission: providing school supplies and educational support to underprivileged children in India
This bootcamp is open to students entering 4th through 8th grade.
No prior programming experience is needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn! Students should bring a laptop if possible (we may have a few extras available to borrow — contact us if needed).
