SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS & ADVANCED RECYCLING TECHNOLOGIES LAB (SMART LAB)

As part of the Center for Resource Efficiency, Recyclability & Circularity in Energy Transition, our latest facility, the SMART Lab houses a state-of-art pilot line for performing Lithium-Ion Battery (LIB) Recycling R&D.
The lab when fully commissioned would house capabilities to generate black mass from spent LIBs, extract valuable critical materials such as (Li, Ni, Co, Mn, Cu, Al, Fe, etc.) and remanufacture battery grade cathode and anode active materials for reuse in freshly assembled Recycled LIBs.
This facility is funded by HSBC India.

As part of the Center for Resource Efficiency, Recyclability & Circularity in Energy Transition, our latest facility, the REVAMP Lab houses a state-of-art pilot line for performing Recycling and Valorization of Plastic Waste obtained from PCBs and Solar Panels.
