My practice is located in McLean, VA, easily accessible from many VA/DC/MD locations. I offer individual psychotherapy and counseling services for adults 18 years and older, helping people overcome emotional and behavioral obstacles in their lives. Examples include anxiety and panic, depression, bipolar disorder, anger, substance abuse, personality disorders, self-defeating behavior patterns, thought disorders, executive functioning difficulties (ADHD), post-traumatic stress, life transitions, grief/bereavement, relationship problems at home and at work, some sexual disorders, and compulsive behaviors.
I have a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) in clinical psychology from the Center for Psychological Studies at Nova Southeastern University, and am licensed by the State of Virginia. In addition, I have post-doctoral certification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and additional post- doctoral training in intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy. My undergraduate degree is from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
