CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
The Honors Program has helped me grow immensely in not just my college and academic career but also in my personal life. The courses, projects, and discussions that I have participated in through the Honors Program have improved my ability to think critically and work effectively with others to achieve a common goal. Through the Honors Program, I developed a better understanding of what leadership is and made me recognize my place in society as a global citizen.
My artifacts in this portfolio further prove how beneficial the Honors Program has been for me over the years. The Honors Program has exposed me to working with people of different majors, backgrounds, and with different opinions, and this exposure has helped me to be more open-minded and reevaluate my own beliefs, which has contributed to my growth as an individual.
Beyond the growth that has happened within the classroom environment, the Honors Program helped me to be more involved in my community through volunteer work and community service. During my time in the Honors Program, I have completed over 30 hours of community service at different organizations, and these experiences enabled me to apply what I learned in class to real-world settings. I was able to work with my peers to identify and meet community needs. Through these opportunities, I have developed leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for my future career as a Social Worker. I greatly enjoyed participating in the activities and discussions in every Honors class, and looking back, even at the artifacts, I see how much progress I have made since my first class. I am grateful to the Honors Program for such an opportunity to not only gain knowledge but also experience. I am confident that all I have learned from this program will stick with me
