Hey there! 

If you are here, it means that you love soils (and soil organisms) as much as I do and are interested in learning more about my work. 

Soils are intriguing. They contain more than half of the world's biodiversity and are essential for several ecosystem processes that support life on Earth. My goal is to understand soil biodiversity (particularly the fauna component), quantify its contributions to soil processes, and examine its response(s) to environmental change. Since 2021, I have been working with (and digging into) soils: from studying soil fauna (microarthropods) in agricultural soils to examining the effects of climate change on the fauna of 'non-traditional' soils (peatlands). Currently, I am a doctoral student trying to understand the contribution of soil fauna to soil carbon storage or release, which presents new and exciting challenges :)
