Gilsu Choi received the B.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Inha University, Incheon, South Korea, and from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA, both in 2008, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. In 2020, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Inha University, Incheon, South Korea as an Assistant Professor. Prior to joining Inha University, he worked at General Motors Global Electrification Division, Pontiac, MI, USA, for 4 years. His research interests include design and control of high-performance electric machines and drives for electrified propulsion systems.
