Emanuele Naldi
I am a researcher at the department of mathematics of the University of Genoa. I am also part of the MaLGa research group, under the supervision of Prof. Silvia Villa.
Before joining the University of Genoa I did my PhD in Braunschweig (Germany) in the research group of Prof. Dirk Lorenz. The position was within the TraDE-OPT project, funded by ITN Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action. My PhD thesis is about "Investigating degenerate preconditioners for proximal point algorithms".
Main research interests:
Splitting and distributed methods in convex optimizations
Learning regularizers for Plug-and-Play methods
Optimal transport and optimization algorithms in spaces of measures
