Dr. Anthony Jackson was a founder and co-director of Culture and Language Academy of Success, a renowned Los Angeles charter school committed to educating underserved students using culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy. He leads principals in advancing the responsive transformation of their schools to empower and elevate learning outcomes for African American and Latinx students.
Dr. Cynthia Gonzalez is a high school principal who has been in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 17 years. As a former teacher and English Language coordinator, she has a variety of experience with systems and the system's impact on students. Dr. Gonzalez believes that an effective system is a system where all students are thriving. To that end, she works tirelessly to create and implement those systems.
Mick Rabin is a project resource teacher for San Diego Unified School District serving in the department of Youth Advocacy. He has facilitated numerous PDs that explore resourceful ways for infusing accurate and respectful representation through curricular lenses and launches bullying prevention/intervention programming across many schools.

Stacey Joy, a National Board Certified Teacher, Google Certified Educator, and 2013 L.A. County Teacher of the Year, teaches 5th grade at Baldwin Hills Pilot and Gifted Magnet School. In addition to teaching in LAUSD over 35 years, she also mentors novice teachers, and is a teacher leader within her school community.
Annmarie Ngo is a current fourth year Pre-Service Teacher in UC Irvine's CalTeach Program. In January, she will be student teaching in Huntington Beach UHSD in Southern California. Ngo will graduate from UC Irvine in Spring 2021 with a B.S. in Biology/Education and a single-subject teaching credential in life sciences.
Kathy Becerra is a fourth year Biology/Education major in UC Irvine’s CalTeach Program. She is currently doing fieldwork in Anaheim Union High School District, where she will begin student-teaching in January. Her goal as a future educator is to make science more accessible.
Bio: Maria Garcia is a current fourth year Earth System Science major and pre-service teacher in UC Irvine& CalTeach Program. Maria has been working towards obtaining a teaching credential and has be student teaching in Santa Ana USD this school year. Maria hopes to build an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment in all classrooms which has been the focus of the education classes they have taken.
Jessica Coleman has experience working with children from preschool through age 22 in school and hospital settings. Jessica’s passion is trauma informed care and educating staff and families about the impact of trauma on the brain development. She is a school psychologist serving students who are experiencing a medical or psychological crisis.
