Other sign-in issues

You get a "Signing in here first time? "Note"

You will be asked to enter a verification code, which is sent to your mobile recovery phone or email address if you sign in from a computer, program or location that you have not been using before, to verify that you really are. If your account's recovery options are out-of-date, go to "Can't you still be registered? "For more information, section of this help post.

Two-Step verification is enabled, but your identity is not verified

The first time you sign in from a laptop, browser or place you haven't used before, you'll be sent a verification code. When you sign in using the same device, browser, or location, you may not be prompted to re-enter a verification code after successful verification. To deauthorize a computer, browser or venue, go to your Recent Activity tab.

  2. Turn off your browser and then restart.

  3. Use a different web browser which is supported.

  4. Try signing in to another sign-in tab, like our main login page or the sign-in page for AOL Mail.
