Our evening with Sir Vince Cable at the Atlas pub in Fulham proved to be very popular, with a sell-out audience of 70 people attending, including the leader of the Fulham Council Stephen Cowan. Following a 20-minute presentation from Sir Vince under Chatham House rules, a lively question and answer session ensued, lasting for well over an hour. The bigger picture concerning the changing political landscape of England
In the aftermath of May’s local elections in England, it is time to pause and reflect on what the outcome might mean for the UK’s future, for our future relationship with Europe, and not to mention future general elections. In short, it is time for our democratic processes to change in response to a new reality.

The national mood about EU-UK relations is changing. In April 2026, Best for Britain released a report which caught the attention of media, Westminster and business. "Support for rejoining the EU rather than simply rejoining the single market is growing among British voters ….
