• 05/09/2026 - Last week we attended the XLI Simposium Nacional de la Unión Científica Internacional de Radio at La Laguna. It was great to meet with the Spanish URSI community! María received the Young Scientist Award and our work “Computational microwave imaging con diversidad mejorada a través de ondas con momento angular orbital generadas con transmitarrays” was recognized with the 2nd place INDRA Award. Congratulations!! Superb job, team.

• 11/07/2026 - Our book chapter "Electromagnetic imaging and sensing with metasurface-based antennas,” in Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces for Wireless Communications: Modeling, Architectures, and Applications" in the book "Reconfigurable Metasurfaces for Wireless Communications: Architectures, Modeling, and Optimization" (Editors: George C. Alexandropoulos, Alessio Zappone, Nir Shlezinger, Marco Di Renzo, Yonina Eldar) has been published!

• 01/07/2026 - Our paper "Programmable Dynamic Metasurface-Driven MIMO Computational Camera for Compressive Electromagnetic Imaging" has been accepted for publication as Invited Article in the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Electromagnetics, Antennas and Propagation.

• 19/06/2026 - Our paper "Engineering sustainable periodic surfaces for cutting-edge radomes in SAR-based ETA systems" has been accepted for publication in Optical and Quantum Electronics.

• 08/06/2026 - Last week we presented our work at the International Conference on Antennas and Electromagnetic Systems, which was held in Catania. It was a very productive conference to disseminate our latest research.

• 27/04/2026 - Last week we attended the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Dublin, where EMPOWERED had a big participation with 5 papers. It was great week to exchange ideas with colleagues and present our latest work.

• 26/03/2026 - Our paper "Antenna Characterization Techniques for Accurate Electromagnetic Imaging" has been accepted for publication in IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation.

• 25/11/2025 - Guillermo and María were invited to deliver an invited lecture as part of the activities of the Croatian IEEE Joint Chapter of Geoscience & Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) and the Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society (AESS) at the University of Zagreb.

• 24/11/2025 - Guillermo and María were invited to deliver an invited lecture at the University of Maribor as part of the activities of the IEEE Geoscience & Remote Sensing Society Slovenian Chapter.
