Adriene was born in the world of Elysium, far off the map, to a loving pair of Siamese pattern parents. However, shortly after being born, a big animal Adriene doesn’t consciously remember came by and attacked her siblings and her mother. Most of the kittens died by the time her father came. However, he was unable to overpower the beast and was slain by it. Just as it was about to come for Adriene, a group of wandering cats happened by and noticed poor Adriene. They came to her rescue and with numbers and skill brought the beast down. Poor Adriene cried as a result of what happened and needing proper care. One of the cats in the pack was a mother to her own kittens and the group was kind enough to bring Adriene in and the mother acted as a surrogate mother, named Kamala, for Adriene, along with giving her a name.
This clan of cats would be called the Blue-Sint clan. They were a nomadic clan of cats, never settling in one area for long. As a result, they never built permanent areas to live in. This also meant they traveled the world, but never encountered many other groups of cats in their travels. They knew to avoid places that had a lack of prey since that meant others were in the area. Their main goal was to keep the clan as big as possible while being sustainable. Any cat who could not keep up with their lifestyle would be kicked out, no questions asked.
Adjusting to this life wasn’t hard for Adriene because it’s what she knew. She still was saddened by her family’s death, but soon put it in the back of her very young mind, finding a new mother figure in this surrogate mom. In fact, she fit in quite well with the other kittens, despite being only slightly younger than them by a few days at most. She did get a lot of education about survival and smarts in the group since they had to survive on their own, and knowing how to do so was crucial, as well as having a skill useful for the group.
As Adriene grew into older kittenhood, about 6 moons, she started to become curious in how to fashion items into more useful items. Despite her young age, she was able to make crude things that had some purpose. The group she was with, while not needing them, decided to foster this skill of hers so she could make stuff they could use in the future. Her ‘littermates’ went to focus on different skills, but never left Adriene out of anything they did, acting as if she was a birth littermate of theirs.
When Adriene finally became an adult, she had gotten better about being able to take things like bones and rocks and turn them into more useful things with the limited capabilities of a cat she had. As a result, they were functional, but not impressive. It was about this time that she began to have feelings for one of the older toms of the group named Lennox. She didn’t care about age, and neither did he. The two hit it off fairly well and eventually became mates, being inseparable from each other.
As Adriene turned 3 years old, she had wanted kittens with the tom she had loved for a year and a half. The day before they were planning on having offspring, the group of cats, who has thinned in numbers over the years, was attacked by a pack of cats who called themselves the Zentirims. There was no provocation for the attack; they just felt like killing. Adriene’s group fought valiantly, but lost half their pack in the attack before having to retreat. In the struggle, Lennox went MIA, but wasn’t killed. With the group really small in numbers and her mate gone, Ariene was overcome with grief. That grief eventually led her to become distant to the rest of the group. A few moons after the event, she went her own way, bidding the group a farewell as she set out to search for Lennox.
Now on her own, Adriene wandered around, without purpose and alone. She managed to get by just fine on her own. That went on for a good while until events that happened a few moons before she would turn 4 years old. These events that transpired was winter, which meant a lack of prey and easy water to drink. Adriene, as a result, suffered greatly from a lack of food and and water, growing very thin, lethargic, and hallucinations. Eventually she would cross a group of cats all wandering the lands.
She approached the cats and convinced them to let her through, as she was weak from lack of water and nutrients, but otherwise fine. Once agreed upon to join the other cats, eventually winding up on the map of Elysium. The groups of cats in their own kingdoms was a welcome sight. She would set her sights on Aghios, looking to become an artisan for them. She is still looking for Lennox to this day.
