2024: SEALs Civic Science Environmental Monitoring Project 

Purpose: Our purpose is to bring together us as student as Civic Scientists to monitor the health of the Hudson-Raritan Estuary, educate the public, and create the conditions to help bring the harbor seal back to NYC.

Purpose: Monitoring biodiversity is the first step to understanding the effect humans have on marine ecosystems, thus allowing for better understanding of ecosystem health and where conservation should be focused, (Gamfeldt, et al., 2015).
