NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
The Of Relics and Reckless Hearts Reader Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by E. L. Wood (“Sponsor”).
This Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, or any of their affiliated companies.
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins October 1, 2026 and ends November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time (“Giveaway Period”).
Entries received outside the Giveaway Period are not eligible.
4. How to Enter
During the Giveaway Period, Sponsor will publish designated Giveaway Reels on Facebook, Instagram, and/or TikTok.
To enter, leave a comment answering the question or prompt presented in a designated Giveaway Reel.
One qualifying comment on one designated Giveaway Reel on one social-media platform equals one entry.
Additional entries may be earned by commenting on different designated Giveaway Reels and/or by participating in the designated Giveaway Reel on another eligible platform.
For example, if the same designated Giveaway Reel appears on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, an eligible entrant may earn one entry on each platform by leaving a qualifying comment on each version of the Reel.
Multiple comments by the same person on the same Giveaway Reel on the same platform do not provide additional entries.
No purchase, email signup, follow, share, tag, or other action is required unless expressly stated as part of a particular Giveaway Reel's question or prompt. Sponsor will not require a purchase as a condition of entry.
Automated, fraudulent, incomplete, or otherwise invalid entries may be disqualified.
5. Prize
One eligible entrant will be selected to receive:
One paperback copy of Of Relics and Reckless Hearts by E. L. Wood.
Sponsor will pay ordinary shipping costs to a valid mailing address within the United States.
The prize is not transferable and has no cash alternative. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor's reasonable control.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
Following the end of the Giveaway Period, one winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received.
Sponsor expects to conduct the drawing on or about December 2, 2026.
The potential winner will be contacted using the social-media account through which a qualifying entry was submitted or through another reasonable contact method available to Sponsor.
The potential winner may be required to confirm eligibility and provide a valid U.S. shipping address before the paperback prize is sent.
If the potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within a reasonable period specified by Sponsor, is found to be ineligible, or declines the prize, Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries.
7. Additional Reader Copies
At Sponsor's discretion, additional eligible participants may receive a standard digital copy of Of Relics and Reckless Hearts after publication.
Any such additional digital copies are separate from the advertised paperback prize and do not affect the selection of the Giveaway winner.
Sponsor may separately offer an optional special or enhanced digital edition to readers who voluntarily choose to join an author mailing or reader list. Joining such a list is not required to enter the Giveaway, win the advertised prize, or receive any standard digital copy otherwise offered by Sponsor.
8. Entry Verification and Accidentally Omitted Entries
Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to identify and include all qualifying entries.
If Sponsor discovers before the drawing that an eligible qualifying comment was inadvertently omitted, the entry will be added before the winner is selected.
If Sponsor discovers after the drawing that an otherwise eligible qualifying comment was inadvertently omitted, the original drawing will remain valid. Sponsor will verify the omitted entry and provide that entrant with a standard digital copy of Of Relics and Reckless Hearts after publication.
Requests concerning an allegedly omitted qualifying entry must be made within 30 days following publication of Of Relics and Reckless Hearts.
9. Odds
Odds of winning the advertised paperback prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.
10. Publicity and Privacy
Except where prohibited by law, the winner agrees that Sponsor may publicly identify the winner by the name or social-media username associated with the winning entry for purposes of announcing the Giveaway result.
Personal information provided for prize fulfillment, such as a mailing address or email address, will be used for administering the Giveaway and delivering the applicable prize or reader copy and will not, solely by virtue of entering this Giveaway, enroll the entrant in a mailing list.
11. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries that Sponsor reasonably determines are fraudulent, abusive, generated through automated means, violate these Official Rules, or interfere with the fair administration of the Giveaway.
If circumstances beyond Sponsor's reasonable control materially affect the integrity or operation of the Giveaway, Sponsor may modify, suspend, or terminate the Giveaway as reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, unavailable social-media services, deleted or hidden comments, transmission errors, platform outages, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor's reasonable control that prevent an entry from being received or identified.
Sponsor's decisions concerning eligibility, entry verification, and administration of the Giveaway are final to the extent permitted by law.
12. Release of Social-Media Platforms
By entering, each entrant acknowledges that Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and their respective owners and affiliated companies are not responsible for administering this Giveaway or providing the prize.
Entrants release those platforms from claims arising solely from the administration of this Giveaway to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Questions regarding the Giveaway should be directed to E. L. Wood, not to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, or their affiliated companies.
13. Winner Information
After the Giveaway has concluded and the winner has been confirmed, Sponsor may announce the winner through E. L. Wood's social-media channels.
