WORD OF LIFE STUDENT CAMP
WORD OF LIFE STUDENT CAMP
Summer is coming, which means student camp is soon! We are going back to Word of Life. Camp will be July 26th-31st. This is for every student finishing 6th-12th grade this May. Camp is always one of the most impactful weeks of the year for our students. It is a week where they get away from their normal routines, build deeper friendships, have a ton of fun, and most importantly, spend intentional time worshiping, studying God’s Word, and being challenged to take their next step with Jesus.
The Coast is designed to give students a high-energy camp experience with biblical teaching, worship, team competitions, and activities like swimming, sports, paintball, rock wall, tubing, go-karts, ropes courses, and more.
Parents, please make sure you register your student for camp so we can keep track of who is and is not coming this year. There is a $50 down payment to help make the registration process easier. After you register your student, you will receive an email from us with more details, so please be on the lookout for that. We are praying that God uses camp in a powerful way in the lives of our students this summer!
On Wednesdays, we are currently walking through Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in a series called "Upside Down Kingdom," where we are looking at what it means to live as citizens of God’s Kingdom. In this series, students are learning that the way of Jesus often looks upside down compared to the way of the world. Jesus calls us to live with a different heart, different priorities, and a different kind of obedience. Our prayer is that students would not just hear the words of Jesus, but actually live them out in their everyday lives.
On Sundays, we are currently in our series, "Spirit Led," where we will study the Holy Spirit. Over the next few weeks, our students will be studying what Scripture teaches about the Holy Spirit and why His work matters in our daily lives.
We will be walking through questions like: Who is the Holy Spirit? What does it mean to live in the power of the Spirit? What is the fruit of the Spirit? What are the gifts of the Spirit? And how does the Spirit lead us as followers of Jesus? Our prayer is that students would not only learn about the Holy Spirit but also grow in what it means to walk with Him, depend on Him, and live Spirit-led lives.

We are having our highly requested Pickleball Night from 6:00–8:00 PM at the pickleball courts on the property! Students will need to BYOP (bring your own paddle) if they have one. We do not have many extras, so if they could bring their own, that'll help us! This is going to be a fun night of fellowship and competition. Make sure your student brings a friend!
On Wednesday, May 20th, we are having Senior Night during our normal ELVT service time. This will be a special night where we gather for a time of fun, worship, a message from one of our seniors, Avery Rhoden, and a celebration of our graduating seniors.
Along with our students, we also want to invite parents, family, and friends to come out and celebrate these seniors as they step into a new season of life. We are excited to honor them, encourage them, and pray over them as they prepare for what God has next. Make plans to join us for this special night!
Our Car Wash Fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, May 23rd, from 10 AM–12 PM under the church portico! This is a great opportunity to come out, get your car washed, and help our students raise money for camp. Students who participate in the fundraiser will receive credit toward their camp balance, so we want to encourage all students who are raising money for camp to be there and serve.
You can prepay for a car wash ticket using the link below, or simply use it to make a donation if you would like to support our students.
