Development Notes

The Elven Historical Chronicle is an effort to celebrate and record the vast and splendid stories near and dear to the hearts of the World of Warcraft elven RP communities. 

Compiled from hundreds of individual in-character interviews over the course of four years, the Chronicle represents the blending of canon-lore and player-created narratives, ranging from the official game canon to elaborate character backstories and prolonged guild and community-wide story campaigns. 

Within you will find an in-character take on Azeroth's history, at least as it pertains to the elves; it's complete with all the blemishes, flaws, and oftentimes complex perspectives. 

All accounts within are presented from the perspective of "what would be known" by the inhabitants of Azeroth, meaning that some of the game's more secretive moments may not be present, or represented merely as speculation and hearsay. The four volumes are penned by a Quel'dorei sorcerer and historian, and the text has been carefully worded to reflect the struggle of objectivity in the face of such a dark and tense history.

What you find within is publicly available knowledge as of now. Your character can find all three volumes of the Chronicle in any archive, library, or store in game which would trade and traffic in elven historical texts (Dalaran; Sin'dorei, Quel'dorei, Shal'dorei, and Kaldorei libraries and archives; and even places like Stormwind and the Undercity).

The Chronicle is primarily compiled and edited by Ansinosth Summerbough of Moon Guard, a veteran roleplayer who has been deep in the trenches of WoW's RP community since the game's initial launch.
