These tips were originally intended to help players produce enough troops in time for a tournament. This is unnecessary for players who already have enough troops of each type. However, they are also useful for setting up the best combat boosters for increased damage right at the start of a tournament. Therefore, the tips here are supplemented by listing the appropriate boosters.
We're mainly dealing with heavy melee fighters. The rest are more of ancillary (statistically speaking). For humans, mages and bows/dryads are recommended. For elves, these would be mages/flower mages and bows/dryads. Combat boosters: Enlightened light ranged units, Powerful Magic Multiplier Steel Tournament We're mainly dealing with magic-wielding units. It's recommended for humans, just as it is for elves, to recruit hounds and bows/rangers.
Combat boosters: Monument of Light Melee, Enlightened light ranged units
We're primarily dealing with magically gifted players. It's recommended to recruit Hounds and Bows/Rangers for humans, just like for elves.
Combat Boosters: Monument of Light Melee, Enlightened Light Ranged Units
This time, we're mainly dealing with light ranged units. For humans, Grenade Launchers/Orc Strategists and Axemen/Wasp Riders are recommended. For elves, Golems and Sword Dancers/Wasp Riders are recommended. Combat Boosters: Shrine of Heavy Melee, Powerful Magic Multiplier Crystal Tournament We're mainly dealing with mages and heavy ranged units. For humans, Hounds/Rangers and Paladins/Vallorian Guards are recommended. For elves, of course, Treants instead of Paladins. Combat Boosters: Enlightened Light Ranged Units, Powerful Magic Multiplier

Combat Boosters: Enlightened Light Ranged Units, Powerful Magic Multiplier
We're mainly dealing with light and heavy ranged fighters.
For humans, Axemen/Wasp Riders/Orc Strategists, or Paladins, and Vallorian Guards would be suitable. For elves, Sword Dancers/Wasp Riders/Golems, or Treants/Vallorian Guards are recommended.
Combat Booster: Powerful Magic Multiplier
We're mainly dealing with light and heavy melee fighters.
For humans, Paladins/Orc Warriors/Frogs, and Priests/Dryads would be recommended. For elves, Treants/Orc Warriors/Golems, and Flower Mages/Dryads are suitable.
Combat Booster: Heavy Ranged Combat Enhancement
We're mainly dealing with heavy melee units. We'll also have light melee and ranged units.
For humans, I recommend Grenade Launchers/Orc Strategists and Bows/Dryads. For elves, Golems and Bows/Dryads would be advisable.
Combat Boosters: Enlightened Light Ranged Units
We're mainly dealing with mages and heavy ranged units, with light melee units somewhat less frequently.
For humans, Mages/Banshes III, Paladins/Gardens, and Hundies would be suitable. For elves, these would be Mages/Banshes, Treants/Gardens, and Hundies.
If you have a few frogs to spare, you can also use them against the light melee units.
Combat Boosters: Powerful Magic Multiplier
We're mainly dealing with heavy ranged and melee fighters, with a somewhat rarer number of light melee fighters.
For humans, mages and paladins would be suitable, and possibly orc warriors as well. For elves, banshees, flower mages, and treants are very useful. Orc warriors wouldn't be a bad idea there either.
Combat Booster: Powerful magic multiplier
Since all enemies can appear, a small supply of other troops is also recommended.
