El Shaddai School was established in 2017 when Pastor Brad made an exploratory trip to the village of Quita in Guinea-Bissau. At that time, there was no established church in Quita as Charlese (the local pastor) attempted to establish a work here. The most pressing issue was the level of child trafficking. Many parents sent their children to the capital of Bissau to find education for them as there was no school in the village. Sadly, many children were sent into trafficking and slave trade and were not heard from again.
As a result, Pastor Brad committed to raising the money for the construction of the school. Within a few months, construction began, and the school was completed in 2022. Along the way, Pastor Brad made many trips to Quita with teams to help with construction. Over the years, a tangible and spiritual transformation occurred in this tiny village as a result of the school that enrolls more than 200 children. Not only did the school curb the trafficking of children, but the Gospel was taught daily in their lives.
The school also boasts nighttime literacy, agricultural, and sewing classes for adults. In the future, Pastor Brad hopes to add a wing for the first high school in the entire region of Biombo, an assembly hall for larger gatherings, and a worship center.
VISION
To create a long-term plan for a supported sponsorship/partnership program for the El Shadai School so that each student (children and adults) has the resources they need to be successful in school.
