Leadership, Engagement, Advancement and Development of Students
Leadership, Engagement, Advancement, & Development of Students (LEADS) is a student organization devoted to providing opportunities and professional development resources to all graduate students in the University of Wisconsin–Madison's Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) program. LEADS accomplishes this through related programming, social activities, and professional development. Our work shares four core initiatives:
Visibility. LEADS aims to increase the presence of the organization as well as the students in ELPA within department-led committees and meetings, across university-wide programs, and on social media networks.
Accessibility. LEADS aims to create more accessible avenues to distribute relevant information and promote social and professional opportunities for students within ELPA’s masters’ and doctoral programs
Social networking. LEADS aims to increase networking opportunities by strategically connecting students between program strands with hope of cultivating a collaborative sense of community within the department.
Professional development. LEADS aims to increase opportunities to share work with peers while connecting ELPA students to relevant events, fellowships, grants, and development opportunities (i.e., conferences, campus visits, or jobs).
