Elon Musk is a very wealthy businessman who has a dream to colonise mars. He has had a very interesting life up until now. One of his well known quotes is “If something is important enough, do it even if the odds aren't on your side.”

At age 12, Elon made a game called Blastar and sold it on a game magazine for $500 and then he knew he could succeed.

In 1999, Elon co-founded a small company called x.com which was an online bank. When it was going great, a company called Coinfinity, which is now Paypal, merged with x.com and Elon got $167 million then he left with his money. Another company he has made with $100 million is SpaceX which is a company that makes rockets. At first people said that 1 company can’t make something that a country makes but Musk showed them they were wrong and he built a rocket and launched it into space.

In 2003, Elon Musk launched an electric car company named Tesla. Tesla has always been making electric cars which helps the environment and today, is the 4th best car brand in the world! Another thing he has done is launching a red Tesla Roadster into space with a SpaceX Falcon Heavy as part of a crazy but successful marketing idea.

Elon Musk has had an interesting life, from making and selling a video game he wrote at age 12 to being the CEO of the 4th best car company in the world. Will he ever colonise Mars? Will he become the best car company in the world? Well let's see what the future brings us.
