Welcome to the Elmore Ecology Lab website!
Based at the National Bobwhite and Grassland Initiative and the Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation at Clemson University, our research evaluates how global change influences birds and other wildlife. Our research focuses on how Northern Bobwhite (Colinus virginianus) or other early successional/grassland birds interact with habitat, management, and other variables. We also study other associated species and systems, as well as novel techniques for monitoring wildlife and addressing conservation issues. We aim to inform adaptive management strategies for the conservation of these key species and ecosystems.
