7 Races, Rounds 1-3 consist of 2 races, Round 4 consists of just 1
7 Drivers, each round, 1 driver is eliminated, leaving 4 drivers to fight for a championship at Homestead this summer...
The number of points will be reset at the beginning of each round.
Points can still be docked when a driver is put at fault for the wreck of another driver.
A win in each round guarantees a spot in the next round, as does a win in the championship race.
When there is more than one driver ending the round at the bottom of the leader board with no points or the same amount of points, the transfer spot is given to the driver with the lowest points position. Those positions from lowest to highest are as follows: (#17, #11, #87, #26, #24, #9, #49).

The amount of points given to each driver depends on how many cars enter the race. The points given to each driver can be calculated through the following equation:

Number of Points = Amount of Cars in Race - Finishing Position + 1

For example, if a driver were to finish second out of five racers, he would earn 4 points.

5 (cars) - 2 (finishing position) + 1 = 4

The winner's points will run by the same system, but any driver who wins a race during the regular season will be guaranteed a spot in the Elly Productions Cup Series playoffs (Rules for the playoffs can be seen above).

DISCLAIMER: All drivers are expected to know our policies and punishments. If our rules are violated, it is expected that no drivers argue with rulings given by league manager, EP49. It is also expected that drivers do not disagree to the scoring, also run by league manager, EP49.
SPORTSMANSHIP POLICY: It is expected that all drivers race with the objective of winning, not making the racing experience any less enjoyable for their competitors. Drivers are not allowed to intentionally wreck their competitors under any circumstance. When one driver is responsible for wrecking another, they will be docked one point, per wreck.
WARNING POLICY: The Elly Productions Cup Series will not give warnings or exceptions to any drivers. The first violation of our sportsmanship policy will result in a two race suspension, the second violation will result in a five race suspension, and the third violation will result in expulsion from the series altogether.
SETUPS: Each driver will run with the mandatory "fast" setup on each track. I understand that this might be an inconvenience for some, but I believe it will make the racing more competitive, as well as keep an unfair advantage away from members with specially-equipped setups.
TIEBREAKERS: In any tie-breaking situation, priority will go to the driver with the most series wins. If those drivers have the same amount of wins, then priority will go to the driver with the best average finish. While unlikely, if those drivers have the same average finish, priority will go to the driver with the best finish from the previous race.
NUMBER OF DRIVERS: There must be 4 or more drivers competing for the race to take place. If there is 3 or under, the race will be postponed until a later date, as collaborated by the drivers.
JUMPING THE START: If the leader were to jump the restart, NR2003 would recognize it and penalize them in-race. However, it does not give penalties for drivers laying back and throttling early to pass the leader after crossing the start-finish line. If a driver were to do this, they would be deducted one point post-race. If they were to do this twice, any points they would potentially earn from the event would be taken away. (This includes winning and receiving a secured spot in the playoffs, advancing to the next round of the playoffs, or winning the championship).
LEAGUE MANAGER RULES: The league manager, EP49, will run in every race. He is to follow the same rules, receive the same amount of punishment, and follow the same points rules as every other driver.
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS: The EP Cup Series has high expectations for its drivers, on and off the track. On the track, it is expected that the "Sportsmanship Policy" (listed above) is followed. Off track, any driver seen bullying, threatening, posting inappropriate content, or insulting other drivers will be banned from the series, no exceptions. Depending on the weight of issue, they may get a chance to defend themselves, and all rulings of punishment are based on EP49's decision.
