Nature’s Turn is a 3-4 co-op trick-taking game where players must attempt to keep a magical tree of life alive for four seasons. Within each season there is a random challenge that all players must work together to complete otherwise the tree dies and the players lose.
Nature’s Turn is a trick-taking co-op game created over a time period of 10 weeks. In pre-production I focused on allotting time to specific tasks over the following weeks of production, I also completed research into mechanics and art while narrowing down the scope of the project overall. During production I followed a strict schedule, I completed a first draft of the art, then begin rigorous playtesting. Lastly, I finished with pre-production; I formatted documents, printed art, and created a drive to hold all pdfs of the project. Upon reflection on the project, I would consider the goals I set for myself within each point of the development a success.
