Laurie McSwiggin lives in Massachusetts with her husband, five children, and their kitty, Luna. 

Laurie is a lifelong learner and knows that writing books for children is a perfect way to share everything in her heart and all she's learned as a mother, educator, sister, daughter, wife, and lifelong seeker.

Laurie believes that education is the most important factor that can support children's personal and academic journeys. She shares her personal, social, and emotional struggles and those she has learned as an educator and spiritual being living a human experience through her character Ellie. Laurie expresses her own experiences and those she has observed in her children through her colorful characters. Additionally, she gets to share her wisdom through the perspectives of Ellie's parents and grandmother.
