About Elley Crochets

Hi there! My name is Elley I’m an art teacher in Virginia with a crochet hook in one hand and a paintbrush (or glue gun… or pair of scissors) in the other. My grandma taught me the basics of crochet, but from there I pretty much went wild on my own. Now I’m happily self-taught, slightly yarn-obsessed, and always experimenting with new stitches, colors, and ideas.

When I’m not in the classroom (or annoying my husband counting stitches during a movie night), you can find me sitting by any body of water I can get to, vibing to good music, dogs nearby, and family close. That’s my happy place and where a lot of my favorite ideas are born.

I crochet custom items for anyone and everyone—stuffed animals, blankets, clothing, and all sorts of one-of-a-kind pieces that make the perfect gift (or “gifts” you accidentally keep some for yourself) for many occasions. I also love dabbling in all kinds of arts and crafts, so there’s always something new in the works.

I’m constantly chasing inspiration and, at any given moment, I’ve got about 12 projects going at once. If you’ve got an idea, a favorite color, or just a vague “could you make something like this…?” thought, I’m your person! Let's chat!
