Daily "To Do" Checklist

Step 1 | 8:30 a.m. go to “SHLA Distance Learning Portal”,

• select "Attendance" tab.

• Fill out "Daily Attendance" with today's date and your name.

• Submit!

Step 2 | 8:40 a.m. go to advisory to meet with your advisory group!

Step 3 | 9:00 a.m. to Distance Learning Begins. Follow your schedule

• 80 minutes for ELA

  • • 40 minutes for ELA (includes writing new words in New Words Notebook)

    • 40 minutes for Achieve 3000 (includes writing new words in New Words Notebook)

• 80 minutes for Math

  • • 40 minutes for Math (includes writing new words in New Words Notebook)

    • 40 minutes for Math MAP Accelerator

• 40 minutes for Social Studies (includes writing new words in New Words Notebook)

• 40 minutes for Science (includes writing new words in New Words Notebook)

• 20 minutes for Independent Reading (includes writing new words in New Words Notebook)

• 40 minutes for Enrichment (6^th grade scholars have PE 4 days per week)

  • 7^th and 8^th grade scholars have Art 2 days per week.

  • 7^th and 8^th grade scholars have PE 2 days per week.

Step 4 | You can contact your teacher (mail, phone, in person) for help. Also, your subject teachers and/or Mr. Lim might need to meet with you for office hours.

Are you asking "How do I use this page?"

1. IMPORTANT: Go to SHLA Portal for attendance (See above "To Do" Checklist).

2. Click on Google Classroom icon (green box with yellow border) to go to 6th ELL Supports Classroom for daily ENL assignment.

   • Learn the new words you will need for the ELA lesson.

   • Type them in your virtual notebook and/or write them in a notebook.

   • The more words you know, the more successful in school and life you will be.

3. Click "hamburger" menu (above left corner) to find ELA6 Classroom assignment.

4. Read message from Ms Dumas and Ms Papp.

5. Go to Classwork tab to do daily assignment.

To help you gather information, you will complete assignments to know more about social activism.

So, be prepared to learn about social activism! You must learn many words to express yourself. Are you ready?
