Paige Pearson
Captain (4th Year)Paige is the daughter of Ryan and Diana Pearson. She has been doing gymnastics since she was five years old, beginning at the Huber Heights YMCA. This is her fourth year on the Centerville Varsity Gymnastics team. One of Paige’s favorite parts of Centerville gymnastics has been the team atmosphere, especially the craziness of bus rides to meets and team dinners afterward, where laughter, inside jokes, and memories were made.
Paige’s proudest accomplishments include overcoming multiple injuries that have occassionally kept her out of competition. Each setback challenged her both mentally and physically, but she is proud of her perseverance and determination to return stronger each time. Paige is also proud to have qualified as a team for the state competition for the past three years, experiences she will never forget.
Paige would like to thank her parents for their unwavering support and sacrifices, from early mornings to long days at meets. She also wants to thank her coaches, especially Sarah Grant, who has coached Paige in club gymnastics since elementary school and has played an important role in her growth. Paige is incredibly grateful for her teammates for their friendship, support, and for making every season so special.
After high school, Paige plans to attend either Miami University or Ohio University to study Primary Education. Her advice to underclassmen is to work hard, take care of your body, and always remember why you started gymnastics in the first place.
