Interested in hands-on field work and acoustical oceanography? We are always looking for undergraduate interns to support our summer field work. The positions are paid and you have the opportunity to gain research experience in physical oceanography, acoustics, and vessel-based operations. If you are interested, contact Dr. Weidner and provide:

While we do not currently have any opening in the Polar Acoustics Lab, future positions will be posted here.
Graduate students in the lab are generally funded by a combination of research and teaching assistantships. Positions include stipend, full tuition support, benefits, and travel support. We look for motivated students that have:
Graduate or undergraduate degree in Oceanography or a related field, such as Physics, Earth Science, Applied Mathematics, Fisheries, Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering, etc.
Strong math/physics background, familiarity with acoustics is a plus but not required!
Technical writing and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with coding for data analysis and/or willingness to learn and develop these skills.
