Closed Doors 2025
"Closed Doors" is my senior Capstone short film project at the University of New Mexico. I wrote and directed it and also helped with the cinematography. I also did the final edit of the film. It took a total of two semesters and two 10-hour days of filming + editing/mixing.
This reel consists of general shots I've put together over the years of 2023-2024. They show off my eye in composition, coloring, and overall cinematography skill and the visual medium.
In this, I did all the camera work and edited.
This video was primarily to experiment with lighting and experimental looking shots. It is not story focused.
I did the editing, directing and camera work, and I was also the subject. I had David Silva and Javier Valencia help with keeping the shot in focus while I was on camera.
This short is about a grandmother looking back at her old memories and reminiscing about those times. My grandmother and Mother were the subjects of this short.
There is minimal change in lighting and setting. I did the editing and video and directing.
This short had me focus on camera movement. It also has a small story in it. I also focused on lighting with this one.

I directed, edited, and was on camera for this as well. My main goal was making shots that were slow motion or time lapsed. I thought filming a sport would be a perfect opportunity to do so.
