Elizabeth Faron is an educator in St. Charles County. For seven years, she worked as an English Language Arts teacher at Timberland High School in the Wentzville School District. For the past four years, she worked as the Librarian at Stone Creek Elementary. She has taught and developed curriculum, served as sponsor of multiple extracurricular activities and events, and worked with colleagues to develop and implement new teaching strategies, to foster a love of reading, and integrate research and technology skills.Â
A continued passion for information, books, and young learners has led Elizabeth to school library settings where she continues to work with educators to encourage students to become lifelong readers, writers, and learners through identification of personal interests and ever-developing technologies.
One of the most appealing parts of the library in education is the opportunity to work with varied curriculum, grade levels, and content areas. Interacting with students and other educators to create and explore is exciting! In addition, Elizabeth enjoys the business aspects of the position, including managing finances, creating thoughtful purchasing lists, and running challenges and "promotions" to increase traffic and access.
She lives with her husband, Luc; her sons, Abram and Thomas; her daughter, Caroline; and their beagle, Wyatt, in Wentzville, Missouri. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, attending community events, and spending time with her family.
