Once standing on nearly every major corner in the city, the corner stores of Elizabeth are long gone now. But that doesn't mean there isn't still a sign: dozens of buildings across the city still have their telltale angled corners proudly facing out into intersections. Once welcoming customers into small grocery stores, these corners now serve as the entrances to restaurants, barber shops, liquor stores, and doctors' offices. Others are simply an oddly angled wall in an apartment. But they're easy to pick out across the city.
