Do you want your children to grow up well adjusted, not only behaviorally and socially, but in the work place? These days, children are growing up in their own little bubbles, ignorant of the blatant disrespect that comes out of their mouths and the effects of their actions on others. How do we fix this? The answer is to reinstate real punishment in schools. We are not talking about going to detention and sitting quietly, but real, effective punishments. Teachers will be able to carry out physical punishments for students who misbehave or break the rules. Some may see this as child abuse, but it is not. This method of correction not only teaches children lessons from early on, but these lessons will follow them their whole lives. Another benefit of this correction is that if teachers are equipped to do this, they are also equipped to defend their students, whether this be in a fight between students, or in a serious emergnecy.
