Project Tycho is Alchemy Den's long-term plan to colonize west of the Bubble to our own found-in-the-black homeworld. We are forking off an existing colonization bridge to complete our own 700 LY leg starting about 2700 LY from Sol.
To participate, you need two things: a cargo ship and the ability to get yourself 3000 LY.
Strongly recommended are an engineered cargo ship and integration into Raven Colonial, the premier third-party colonization planning website. We'll be posting out links to upcoming systems and RC can maintain a live progress report shared across participants. If you're running their own app, SRV Survey, or if you're using the Raven Colonial plugin for EDMC, your lifts will show up for everybody so that we're not dumping three extra loads of steel into space.
We'll be using our squadron carrier as well as a number of individual fleet carriers to assist, but part of the goal is to establish periodic colonization depots capable of producing virtually all needed goods -- among other things, this opens opportunities for you to find your own colonization targets in our region of deep space (there are a number of neutron stars just a few hops off our planned path, for example). The goal is to never exceed 200 LY beyond a resupply point. That means a Panther with a Guardian FSD Booster and no other engineering, or a Panther with Grade 4 FSD engineering but no other boosts, can run this effort without a fuel scoop. A Type-9 or a Type-8 can hack it with the Booster and Grade 2 FSD engineering.
Our current forward operating base is Miranda Plant in Sifi KD-K d8-20.
If you wanna, sure. We have four unclaimed depots planned where the first build is a Coriolis, and if you wanna throw down a free Dodec as the starting build in one, that would be great. If that's the case, we would expect that the system build still follows the depot plan. You're free to build out beyond that plan after the fact (most of those systems have plenty of other real estate, and weak links shouldn't choke out the depots). Or just call dibs on any of the other bridge systems! We don't care what you do with those at all.
