Elite Recording Manager BETA ("ERM") is a Chrome extension for recording audio from browser tabs selected by the user.
When the user starts a recording, ERM processes:
Audio produced by the selected browser tab
The selected tab's title and web address, used locally to identify the recording and create filenames
Recording settings and metadata, such as duration, format, file size, timestamps, mute state, and recovery status
The information is used only to capture, encode, recover, organize, edit, and download recordings requested by the user.
Recording audio and metadata are processed locally within the user's Chrome browser profile. ERM stores completed recordings and recovery checkpoints locally until the user downloads or deletes them.
ERM BETA does not upload recording audio, tab titles, tab addresses, or recording files to a developer-operated server.
The beta version does not contain payment processing, license activation, user accounts, advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking.
ERM does not sell user data and does not share recording audio or browsing information with advertisers or data brokers.
Users can download or permanently delete saved recordings from ERM. Removing the extension or clearing its site/extension data may also remove locally stored recordings.
ERM relies on Chrome's extension isolation and the security of the user's browser profile and operating system. Users should protect access to their computer and Chrome profile, especially when recordings contain sensitive information.
ERM is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information on a developer-operated server.
This policy may be updated as the beta changes. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date and, where appropriate, in the Chrome Web Store listing.
