Elisa Jácome

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University.  I am also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Fellow at the Institute for Policy Research.

I work on topics in labor and public economics as well as economic history.  I am interested in questions related to criminal justice, immigration, mental health, and economic mobility. 

My work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and NPR.  I received my PhD in economics from Princeton University in 2021.
