Elina's research examines the social and business impacts of emerging technologies—especially AI—and how they reshape how we work, communicate, search, and share information, and learn. Using large-scale field data, often through industry collaborations, she applies econometrics, network analysis, and machine learning to uncover patterns and inform ways to amplify benefits while reducing potential harms. Her work is interdisciplinary, spanning information systems, economics, sociology, organizational studies, and operations management.
Elina's work has been published in top journals such as Management Science, Information Systems Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Organization Science, and Production and Operations Management. Elina is currently serving as an Associate Editor of Information Systems Research.
