Welcome to my website!

I work as a Senior University Lecturer and Docent in demography at the University of Helsinki, Finland.

My research interests are in the intersecting fields of kinship demography, public health, and multidisciplinary studies of changing institutions, such as family and legislation. In my current research, I examine how changes in legislation and societal values shape the lives of LGBT population and of their children. I also study victimization for and perpetration of violence within families, especially in the context of family dissolution.
