Elima Hussain is a Senior Research Fellow in Mathematical and Computational Science Division, Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), An Autonomous Institute under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. She has expertise in medical image analysis, deep learning and computer vision. She is undergoing her Ph.D. research work at IASST. Her research interest focuses on medical image processing and its application using artificial intelligence. The main focus of her research is to develop machine learning or deep learning based solutions for solving real life problems related to early diagnosis of cervical cancer that is automated quantification of cervical dysplasia problem. She has been working on histopathological image analysis for the last three and a half years since 2017. Her research works have been published in many renowned international journals having high impact factors including some conferences and books. Her contributions on computer aided diagnosis of cervical and oral cancer have been recognized in both national and international level. She along with her team is currently working on delivering the proof of concept for field trials and deployment of the end-to-end software.
