I research topics related to the economics of household, gender and labour; with a specific focus on Africa. My writings feature peer-reviewed articles and development blogs.
I have substantial fieldwork and research experience in Eastern Africa - Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania, and Uganda. Before PhD studies, I served as a research associate with BRAC International and Save the Children International. I have also consulted for development organisations (e.g. World Bank, Innovations for Poverty Action, BIGD, among others).
I received an MSc. in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University and hold a BSc. in Applied Statistics from Maseno University.
