Flipped Project Rationale: The artifact that has been completed is the flipped project video and the flipped project quiz. It contains information on the K-2, 24.A.1a Illinois Standard describing positive and negative behaviors as well as what they are and why they are important to understand. It was artifact was produced between the 1st and the 5th of December and was produced to explain and analyze specific concepts of the Illinois Standards to children between the grades of kindergarten through second grade.
This specific artifact is important because it gives students a completely different dynamic in the classroom. Instead of the teachers lecturing and giving the student's homework to take home that they do not understand, the teachers give the lesson in form of a video recording. This is something that they can present in class. Thus, that teacher can then walk around and help students who may still be confused or lost obtain a better understanding of the material. Some of the most pertinent knowledge that is on the project video includes an explanation of positive and negative behaviors including ways to keep positive behaviors in the classroom: "Not everyone is going to get along or be happy all the time, but keeping a great attitude is key"(Butler). The standard itself is not difficult to understand, but under these circumstances, it is even easier to process as well as teach it to others.
What was specifically learned from this flipped project was what positive & negative behaviors are, how they affect others, and how to keep positive behaviors within the classroom. I personally learned as the teacher the benefits of a flipped classroom, and how I could incorporate those ideologies to help the students while they are watching the presentation. This is something I could potentially use as a teacher for my future classrooms to enable students the ability to learn in a different way.

Rationale for assessment project: The assessment that was given is a direct correlation to the standard 7, in which the test that was given reflects the students growth and outcomes based on the questions assigned that were at Bloom's taxonomy level. Throughout the testing procedure, I have used "assessment results to to determine student's performance levels, identify learning targets, select appropriate research-based instructional strategies and implement instruction to enhance learning outcomes" (7J). The test that was given supports Bloom's taxonomy mostly using the evaluate and and analyzation domains. The results gave a very strong indicator that the students had been growing and learning throughout.
The assessment project in it's entirety "maintains useful and accurate records of student work and importance" (7M), simply because the percentages as well as the means and averages that were given were a big help in understanding the flaws and hinderances that the students ran into while taking the exam. In addition, the records that we given helped describe where the students performed well at, so thus as the instructor I could continue my lessons either as planned or help them understand whatever it is that they need to understand.
As an instructor, there is also need to constantly adjust teaching styles for different occasions that could occur whether positive or negative. Unfortunately, the circumstances that we are currently facing disallows the students from having much face to face contract with the instructor and the other students. This mean that technology is going to be one of the biggest factors when it comes to teaching. Therefore, the instructor must "effectively use appropriate technologies to conduct assessments, monitor performance, and assess student programs" (7O). This has been done during this assessment, simply because google forms was used as the platform and students had to submit their assignment via an online questionnaire, there were calculations taken that could only be done using an online platform, and the results were also easier to obtain because of the online platform being used. Using the online technology has been effective throughout this assessment.
