Eligian Privacy Policy

Eligian is designed to help users organize and understand information about their vehicles.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Eligian handles and how that information is used.
1. Vehicle Information
Eligian may process vehicle-related information that you enter manually or that is received from a compatible OBD-II adapter.
This may include information such as:
• Vehicle year, make, model, and friendly name
• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), when available
• Odometer information
• Diagnostic trouble codes
• Vehicle sensor readings
• Maintenance records
• Trip information
• Vehicle health history
• Saved notes and related vehicle records
This information is used to provide Eligian's vehicle monitoring, maintenance, diagnostic, history, and Assistant features.
2. Local Storage
Vehicle records and related app information are primarily stored locally on your device.
Eligian does not require you to create a user account to use the app.
3. Bluetooth and OBD-II Data
Eligian may communicate with compatible Bluetooth OBD-II adapters to obtain information made available by your vehicle.
The availability and accuracy of this information depends on the vehicle, adapter, supported OBD-II functions, and sensors.
4. Optional Vehicle Compatibility Data
Eligian may offer an optional setting that allows users to contribute vehicle compatibility information to help improve support for vehicles and OBD-II adapters.
This feature is optional and is disabled unless the user chooses to enable it.
Eligian will not intentionally include a full VIN or other directly identifying personal information in contributed compatibility data.
5. Location and Trip Information
If Eligian uses location information for trip-related features, location access is subject to the permissions you grant through iOS.
You may change or revoke location permission at any time through iOS Settings.
6. Purchases
Eligian Plus subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store.
Payment and billing information is handled by Apple. Eligian does not receive or store your full payment card information.
7. Data Sharing
Eligian does not sell your personal information.
Vehicle information stored locally on your device is not shared with advertisers.
If optional data contribution features are enabled, only the information described for that feature is intended to be transmitted.
Third-party services, if introduced in the future, will be reflected in this Privacy Policy and in App Store privacy disclosures as required.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored vehicle data remains on your device until you delete the related vehicle, remove the related records, or uninstall the app.
You can delete saved vehicles and associated information using the controls available within Eligian.
Uninstalling Eligian removes locally stored app data subject to normal iOS backup and restore behavior.
9. Your Choices
You can:
• Choose whether to grant Bluetooth and other system permissions
• Disable optional vehicle compatibility data contribution
• Delete saved vehicle information from within Eligian
• Change applicable iOS permissions through the Settings app
• Contact us with questions about your data
10. Security
Eligian uses the security and data-protection capabilities provided by iOS to help protect information stored on the device.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children's Privacy
Eligian is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Eligian adds or changes features.
The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
