Career Goal Narrative
I am a junior at Leonardtown High School. I have always done well in computer science in and enjoyed making fun computer games. I have also taken Geometry and Algebra 2 which can help with engineering. At Leonardtown high school I play 2 sports, golf and tennis, playing these sports helps with being in the right set of mind which can help with my future career. And when I am not doing software engineering or sports I like to spend my time at the beach surfing.
Hello, my name is Eli Robinson. I have been interested in engineering since I was little. For example I used to build Arduinos kits and won first place when I added Arduino controlled lights and distance sensors to my pine wood derby car. I also competed in robotics at my Elementary School in Virginia Beach. My team won the challenge receiving first place out of 54 schools. I am also interested in software engineering because my Grandfather, Dad, and uncle are all software engineers on base and enjoy their jobs.
Following Graduation I plan to go to college where I will get a Computer Science degree, and play college tennis. This will help me with my future dream of doing software engineering at Pax River or for another contracting company. The past two summers I was a lifeguard at our neighborhood pool. This coming summer my goal is to get an internship at a local engineering company or on base with the government.
After college I plan to become a software engineer on base where I can engineer and create programs that will support the military. I am very excited for the following years of engineering in high school and the future.
