What is the Elgin Academy Parent Council?
The Parent Council is a group that represents all Parents and Carers at Elgin Academy.
What is the Parent Council for?
Supporting the school - through volunteering, events and fundraising.
Representing parents' and carers' views to the School.
Advocating for our School community locally and nationally.
What does it do?
Meets once a term with the Head Teacher, other parents, other school staff, Local Councillors, pupils and other visitors.
Coordinates events and fundraising.
Coordinates volunteers as parent council representatives at school events.
Represents the Parents and Carers at local and national meetings (such as the Moray Parent Forum held once a term).
Takes part in selection of Head and Depute Heads when needed.
Gathers the views of Parents and Carers.
