A way for coaches, officials, administrators and event managers to connect across Europe in 3 easy steps
Register as a mentor, mentee, or both
Mentors identify what experience they have
Mentees identify what skills they need help with
Mentees are provided with recommended mentors based on experience, skills, and location preferences
Mentees indicate how they would like to be mentored
Mentees are shown when mentors are available
Meetings are linked to personal Google calendars
Guides are provided on how to get the most out of sessions
Connect 1 on 1 with experienced coaches in different areas of Europe.
Identify specific skills like offense, defense, and feedback to make the best possible match.
Go deeper into rule interpretation, game management, or get 1 to 1 training from experienced Officials/Referees in Chief.
Have an experienced administrator guide you through the process of running an NGB, defining roles, or strategic planning.
Connect with experienced tournament organizers and volunteer coordinators to create better events.
Registration is open to members of the European Lacrosse community who are 18+ years of age.
If you are under 18 but would still like to participate, please contact coaching@europeanlacrosse.org so that we can confirm the consent of a parent or guardian.
While we have the four main categories of coach, official, administrator and event manager, you are also welcome to join if you have a related role in European lacrosse. For example, you may be an experienced commentator who could provide mentorship to someone just getting started - join as an event manager!
Many different voices, identities and life experiences exist within the European Lacrosse community, and our mentorship system allows for mentees and mentors with similar backgrounds to connect. Here's what's important to know when considering affiliations.
If you do identify with an affiliation it will be visible to all other members in the directory.
Am I required to select an affiliation?
No, it is completely voluntary and up to you as a participant!
As a mentee, do I need to declare an affiliation in order to state a preference for a mentor with an affiliation?
No - any mentee can state an affiliation preference for their match. While a mentee with an affiliation (say, someone from the LGBTQ+ community) can identify both their affiliation and indicate a preference for a mentor from the same affiliation, it is not required. For example, a coach who has LGBTQ+ athletes for the first time could request mentorship from a coach with that affiliation to gain insight on how to best serve their athletes as a leader.
What affiliations are available?
We've included the following five affiliations: LGBTQ+, Living with a disability, Person of color, Religious diversity, and Women/Non-Binary/Agender
For additional support or questions, you can contact the ELF Inclusion Coordinator: inclusion@europeanlacrosse.org.
Mentors and mentees can register at any time
Mentees are able to request mentorship at any time
A mentorship can last for as long or short as you like!
If you'd like to start with an introductory chat to see if your needs and experience align, you can book a single session. If you want to work with someone for a few months to discuss practice plans, you can request more!
Here is what the default options will look like:
