The program is listed in the Control Panel, and in Settings>Add Remove software. Using uninstall in the Control Panel completes, but the program still starts. The option to remove in Settings is greyed out.

It might be just as easy to simply reset the install, rather than to continue to try to remove the catalyst drivers. I've got all the downloaded drivers on the hard drive, and it doesn't take that long to install them.

Next I I reinstalled the software, and now the install manager dialogue was correct when the system was booted. Tried the removal process, and there was one failure. That was the removal of the install manager. LOL

I just installed W10, and the first thing i decided to do is install new drivers for my gpu, so i downloaded them, and went ahead to uninstall the old W7 one. It didn't let me. The unistall and modify buttons were greyed out. I managed to uninstall CCC but thats pointless. I decided to just download the new drivers and install them without uninstall the previous ones. Once the setup initilialized, It said AMD Catalyst Install Manager has stopped working, this happens every time i try to install it. Thanks for any reply given.

Hello, I've just finished setting up my newly built PC and along the way I managed to accidentally download AMD catalyst install manager, which is now outdated. The problem is I can't remove it, and it pops up every time I restart my computer. Uninstall is greyed out in settings, and it's not even there in task manager > start up. It doesn't even show anywhere when I search 'catalyst' in the windows bar. How do I get rid of this thing?

It seems that there are many users who have difficulty uninstalling programs like CATALYST from their systems. Some experience issues during uninstallation, whereas other encounter problems after the program is removed.

I have an MSI Frozr II AMD Radeon 7850 2GB. I bought it maybe about two weeks ago and upon installing it I've been having problems with the HDMi audio from it. I have another question open about that, but while trying various things to fix that issue, I uninstalled and reinstalled all the AMD Drivers and now they won't work properly. (Yes, they used to work properly for the most part)

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling using the Catalyst Install Manager. I've tried uninstalling using the Catalyst Uninstall Utility. I've tried uninstalling using Revo Uninstaller Pro. I've tried removing the graphics card, connecting to the onboard graphcis and uninstalling its drivers. I've tried doing it in Safe Mode. I've tried manually uninstalling the drivers using the Device Manager, I've tried everything, but every time I install CCC, it has no control over my graphics card.

Are you using AMD components? For example, AMD GPUs. Sometimes, you may need to uninstall AMD drivers. This post from MiniTool Partition Wizard tells you how to uninstall AMD drivers properly.

Of course, if you want to replace the current AMD graphics card, uninstalling improper AMD GPU drivers is also necessary. Uninstalling the improper graphics driver prior to installing another one can help prevent potential file conflicts which may corrupt the installation of new drivers.

If the normal AMD driver uninstall procedure was unsuccessful, this tool can help you. It will remove AMD display and audio drivers as well as AMD software components but does not remove AMD chipset driver components such as GPIO, SATA, USB, etc. It can help to prepare the system for a successful driver installation. Here is the guide:

Some people may recommend you to use third-party software like DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and Driver Easy to uninstall these drivers. In general, these third-party driver uninstallers can work on many drivers including audio driver, hard drive driver, etc. In addition, these uninstallers can get and handle drivers from various manufacturers.

To un-enroll a managed device from Systems Manager, the SM agent needs to be uninstalled from the device and removed from Dashboard. This article will detail how to remove the SM agent from each device type, as well as from the Dashboard.

In order for a device to be fully disassociated with a Systems Manager network, the SM agent needs to be removed from the client itself. The following sections detail how to uninstall this application for each major platform.

To uninstall the Systems Manager agent, use the Windows installer available under Systems Manager > Manage > Add Devices in Dashboard. If the installer is not available, the following steps may suffice:

Early-2014 Intel HD Windows 8.1 drivers have some bugs that give problems with f.lux, and you may not have the latest one (Surface Pro 3 does not as of September 2014). To make sure you have the latest:Run Device Manager and navigate to Display Adapters : Intel HD Graphics Family. Pick the "Driver" Tab.Check which version you have. If it's less than 10.18.10.3907, you'll want to update (the early-2014 drivers that end with "3412" up to "3621" can cause slowdowns and crashes with f.lux).Download a new intel driver here: Intel HD drivers

If using a "standard" Intel video card, just get the EXE and install it. You're done!If using a Surface Pro 3 or "customized" OEM driver, pick the ZIP download so we can force the install.

If you picked the ZIP, unzip it and then:Back in Device Manager, click "Update Driver" and "Browse my computer..."Choose the Downloads folder and the zip folder you just extracted. If Windows refuses this new driver, you should Uninstall and Delete the existing driver and start again from step #1. Windows will use its basic driver in the interim (you won't be without video.)Ok, but CCC.exe on my AMD Radeon card is still using 1% CPU all the time, and I don't want that.

The Catalyst Control Center is an optional component that can be uninstalled, and you might consider doing this if you're not frequently adjusting your settings for gaming or other reasons. Use Add/Remove Programs, and choose "AMD Catalyst Install Manager" to proceed.

Do not uninstall the Install Manager, but instead use it to uninstall Catalyst Control Center. In our test, this didn't even require a reboot. Also, leave a note on this page (with the driver version) so we can report it to AMD.

i recently tried to upgrade from kis 2012 to kis 2013 without uninstalling the previous version(which i know is a silly mistake). and it showed an error something about avp.dll (can't remember the exact phrase).

actually i don't have a clue about it because it is not showing in the control panel>programs installed, but when i try to install them they now show a error that "a previous localization is already present". but when i run the kaspersky removal tool it shows kis 2012 to uninstall and asks to reboot after uninstall. but when i rerun kaspersky removal tool it again shows kis 2012.

Except for the install and uninstall commands, the instructions on using setup-bds in the Oracle Big Data SQL 3.1 Installation Guide apply to Oracle Big Data Appliance and should be used as documented. This is also true for the database side of Oracle Big Data SQL.
